CAMS is delighted to introduce Dr Gilberto Dalmaso as Scientific & Regulatory Advisor.

Gilberto brings over 40 years’ experience in pharmaceutical microbiology, contamination control, and aseptic processing. He began his career at the Verona site of Glaxo (now part of GlaxoSmithKline), where he worked in pharmaceutical microbiology and sterility assurance before going on to lead initiatives in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and Rapid Microbial Methods (RMM).

He has since held senior advisory roles within the environmental monitoring and contamination control sector, including with Particle Measuring Systems, and now operates as an independent consultant.

Gilberto is widely recognised for his expertise in:

• EU GMP Annex 1 (2022 revision)
• Aseptic processing and contamination control strategy (CCS)
• Environmental monitoring strategy design
• Rapid and alternative microbiological methods
• Quality by Design (QbD) applied to microbiology
